Less Social / Not zero social. Less autopilot.

How to use less social media without deleting it.

You do not have to become an offline monk to use social media less. You just need your default tap to stop making every decision for you.

Swing puts a funny interruption in front of the social apps you choose. It gives you the tiniest bit of friction right where a lot of accidental scrolling begins.

More on this: Stop doomscrolling.

1. Pick the apps that pull you in

Choose the social apps you open most automatically. Start with the one that makes you say “how is it already this late?” most often.

2. Finish the iPhone setup

Follow Swing’s on-screen permission setup. This lets Swing show its interruption before your protected app opens, instead of asking your half-awake thumb to be the whole plan.

3. Let Swing catch the first tap

Swing catches the tap before the feed opens, making it easier to notice whether you want connection or are just filling a blank moment.

4. Make the call

Close the app, or unblock it for a while when you actually want to be there. Social media stays available; autopilot gets demoted.

Quick answers

Do I have to delete the app?

No. Swing adds an interruption before a protected app opens. Your app, account, and data stay on your iPhone.

Can I still use it when I need to?

Yep. You choose whether to leave the app or unblock it for a while. Swing is there to interrupt the reflex, not run your life.

What should I protect first?

Start with the app that most often turns a quick check into a missing hour. One honest choice beats a huge list you will never use.
